BACK IN THE SADDLE…

Well, I feel like I did when I was a tweenager…I would clean my room (only because my mother was threatening to bring my social life to a sudden halt by grounding me from all peer interaction) and I would run across one of my old diaries.  I would suddenly become immersed in the sagas that I had descriptively journaled about and get very excited to “start again.”  Of course I would vow to be dedicated, diligent and consistent in my scheduled writing.  So in the spirit of that, I promise to do my best to be dedicated, diligent and consistent in my scheduled writing as I restart my practice of blogging!

Much has happened in my world, but nothing too exciting for the last five plus months.  As I build up my archive of blog posts, I hope to share the bits and pieces with you.  One very notable occurrence was the release of my first book:  Rule of Thumb:  The Small Business Guide to Customer Service and Relationships.  If you are interested in checking it out, you can order it from this site or from Amazon.  http://ruleofthumbbiz.com/book/rule-of-thumb-a-guide-to-small-business-customer-service-and-relationships/#.UI4G9nXA_js  I would love to get your feedback, so please read it!

I will shake it up by posting a new profile picture and probably leave it at that this week!  I will say that I hope everyone is gearing up to VOTE in the upcoming election.  Remember, it is important, not just on the presidential level, but on a local and state level as well.  Your voice counts and that is your right as a citizen, so take advantage of it.  I encourage everyone to do your research and educate yourself on the candidates and issues.  When it comes to the presidency, know where you stand on the BIG issues:
  • ·         Women’s Rights
  • ·         Gay Rights
  • ·         National Security
  • ·         Affirmative Action
  • ·         Legalizing Marihuana
  • ·         Protecting Land

Once you know where you are on these issues, learn where the candidates stand so that you can select one that is in alignment with your views.  The person who holds that office in the next four years may likely have the opportunity to reshape our Supreme Court which in turn reshapes our country.

And…on that note…good week to you all.
